Vacancy for Purchase Officer at PGIMER

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab.

Applications on plain paper from citizens of India are invited for one post of Purchase Officer on deputation basis in the “Level 11 in Pay Matrix” under 7th CPC with the following qualifications and experience etc:
Essential Qualification And Experience:-
Officers of the Central/State Government, U.T. Administration or Central Statutory Bodies/Autonomous Bodies holding analogous posts in the “LEVEL- 11 in the PAY MATRIX" on regular basis or officer holding post in the “LEVEL-10 in the PAY MATRIX" with 03 years experience or Officer holding post in the “LEVEL-9 in the PAY MATRIX" having 5 years experience.
Desirable
2 years Master Degree in Business Administration (M.B.A) in Hospital Management/Materials Management / Store Management / General Management / International Management/Marketing Management from a recognized university with 5 years experience in Procurement of any type of goods in a Govt, setup preferably in Medical Equipments/Hospital Consumables/Medicine. The period of deputation shall ordinarily be 03 years.
he application duly filled by the applicant may be sent to the Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh through his/her Head of Department/Institution/Organization by 10.12.2018 along with the ACRs for the last five years and a certificate to the effect that no departmental/disciplinary proceedings are pending/being contemplated against the Officer.
